Use of the Website

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or subscribe.
• You are responsible for keeping your account details, including your password, confidential.
• You agree to provide accurate and current information when registering and when publishing a listing.
• You may not use the site for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to it.
• You may not scrape, bulk-download or systematically copy our price data for redistribution or resale without our written consent.

Price Information and Accuracy

• Prices published on Welandapola are gathered from market reports, retailer listings and public advertisements, and are indicative only.
• Markets move through the day and sellers quote differently by quantity and quality, so a published figure may not match the price you are offered.
• Calculators such as the import tax estimator and EV charge calculator use published rates and tariff schedules that can change without notice. Their output is an estimate, not a quotation.
• We do not warrant that price data, trends or analytics are complete, current or error-free, and you should not rely on them as your sole basis for a financial decision.

Accounts and Subscriptions

• Some pages are metered: visitors on the free tier can view a limited number of gated pages each day, while Welandapola Pro removes that limit.
• Welandapola Pro is billed in advance at the price displayed on our pricing page and renews for successive periods until cancelled.
• You authorise us and our payment processor to charge your chosen payment method for each renewal.
• We may change subscription pricing, giving notice before the change takes effect for your next renewal.
• Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, without refund where the breach is serious.

Marketplace Listings

• Listings are submitted by users and reviewed before publication, but review is not a verification of the item, the price or the seller.
• You must have the right to sell what you list, and your description, images and price must be accurate.
• You may not list items that are illegal to sell in Sri Lanka, or content that is misleading, offensive or infringes someone else's rights.
• Any sale is a contract between the buyer and the seller. Welandapola is not a party to it, does not handle goods or payments for it, and is not responsible for its outcome.
• We may edit, decline or remove any listing at our discretion, including listings that appear fraudulent.
• By submitting a listing you grant us a licence to display and promote that content on the site.

Intellectual Property

• The site, its design, software, compiled datasets and analytics are the property of Welandapola or its licensors.
• You may quote or reference our published figures with clear attribution to Welandapola, including a link to the relevant page.
• You may not reproduce, redistribute or create derivative products from our data or content at scale without our prior written consent.
• Content you submit remains yours; you are responsible for having the rights to publish it.

Third-Party Links

Our pages may link to retailer, marketplace and other third-party sites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, pricing or privacy practices.

Limitation of Liability

• The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• To the extent permitted by law, Welandapola and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on its data — including trading, purchase or investment decisions made on the basis of a published price.
• We are not liable for loss arising from a transaction between a buyer and a seller in our marketplace.
• Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect and how we use it, and forms part of these terms.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Amendments and Termination

We reserve the right to modify, update or discontinue the site or these terms at any time. Changes are posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept them.
